Happy 67th Birthday LEGO® Brick!
In 1932, LEGO® started as a wooden toy company founded by Ole Kirk Kristiansen in Denmark. LEGO® transitioned to plastic toys the following decade. On January 28, 1958, Godtfred Kirk Christiansen (Ole Kirk Kristiansen’s son) submitted the patent for the LEGO® system brick to the Trademark office. This is the same brick that we know and love today! See the LEGO® History website for even more interesting details about the history of LEGO® and the LEGO® brick!
