LEGO® Announces the New Creator Expert HARLEY-DAVIDSON® FAT BOY®
This morning LEGO® announced the next Creator Expert set: HARLEY-DAVIDSON® FAT BOY® (10269). I am beyond excited about this set as I have been hoping for a systems motorcycle.
The set was developed in collaboration with Harley-Davidson® and with solid-discwheels, teardrop fuel tank, integrated speedometer, and dual exhaust pipes.
I am also really excited that it has a number of moveable parts including the Milwaukee-Eight® engine with moving pistons and dual exhaust pipes, turning handlebar, moving gear shift and brake levers, and functional kickstand.
The 1,023 piece set comes in the authentic dark red and black color scheme of Harley-Davidson® with the Harley-Davidson® Fat Boy® emblem on the tank (printed dark red 2×4 tiles). The model is over 7 inches (20 cm) high, 7 inches (18 cm) wide and 12 inches (33 cm) long.
LEGO® Master Builders even created a life-size model of the motorcycle to celebrate the launch of this awesome set. Taking 865 hours to build, the life-size version is made of 69,569 pieces, 6,000 of which are special elements, and features silver coated parts, Wi-Fi animation control, and both sound and light effects to imitate a real Harley-Davidson® FatBoy®.
The new Harley-Davidson® FatBoy® will hit shelves August 1, 2019 or July 17, 2019 for VIP members. The pricepoint is similar to other Creator Expert model team scale vehicles at $139.99 CAD. I can’t wait to pick up this set!
